Covington currently holds the environmental engineering contract to provide all environmental engineering services to the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport for the time period of September 2016 to September 2019. Covington completed the 2016 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) annual inspection audit and update. The purpose of the Annual SWPPP Inspections is to document the current potential pollution sources and current use of Best Management Practices (BMPs) with respect to requirements listed in the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport SWPPP. The annual inspections are required by the MDEQ Baseline Stormwater National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Number MSR001034 issued to the Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport Authority (GRBAA). The Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is divided into eleven (11) Stormwater Drainage Areas (SDA). Each drainage area was inspected along with any airport operations and/or tenants (i.e. GBRAA Maintenance, MillionAir, Rental Car Facility, etc.). Additional task orders include the engineering and design of a new above-ground fuel farm for the airport maintenance facility and emission compliance testing on the airport generator systems.
